Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Sindh Assembly would review the audit paras of different financial years of district governments/administrations from December 05 to December 14, 2012, Business Recorder has learnt. Official sources said that on the directives of Chairman PAC Jam Tamachi Unnar, Secretary Sindh Assembly has issued letters to all concerned officials regarding the PAC meeting.

According to the schedule, a copy of which is available withBusiness Recorder the PAC would review audit paras of various financial years of district governments/administrations of Jamshoro, Shikarpur, Tando Allahyar and Kambar-Shahdadkot on December 5, 2012. The PAC would review audit paras of Kahmore-Kandhkot, Thatta and Naushehroferoze district governments/administrations on December 6, and Benazirabad, Ghotki, Larkana and Jacobabad district governments/administrations on December 7, 2012.

Similarly, the PAC would review the audit paras of Mirpurkhas, Khairpur Mir's, Tando Mohammad Khan and Umerkot district governments/ administrations on December 11, 2012. The audit paras of Sanghar, Dadu, Matiari and Karachi would be reviewed on December 12, and the PAC would also review audit paras of Badin, Sukkur, Tharparkar and Mithi districts on December 13, 2012. Sources said that the audit paras have pointed out to embezzlement of millions of rupees in various heads.

All heads of district administrations have been asked that 40 copies of the working papers duly reconciled with the Accountant General (AG) Sindh and concerned audit departments, as the case may be, should be submitted to the secretariat at least seven working days before the date of the meetings. They have further been directed that along with hard copy of working papers, soft copy may also be sent to the secretariat of the PAC as the same are required for the PAC MIS system in due time without fail and ensure that the page numbering and legible and annexure to be attached.
